Home Biography
Training: James graduated from Chichester University in 2006, winning the Robert Headley Music Prize. He continues to study piano under Graham Fitch and regularly takes private tuition with  leading musical directors David White, Andy Massey, Jason Carr and Kate Young.

Theatre includes: Sweeney Todd (Deputy MD, Tooting Arts Club); Julian Slade's Free As Air (Finborough Theatre); Ivor Novello’s Gay's the Word (Assistant MD, Jermyn Street Theatre); Gyles Brandreth’s Now We Are Sixty (MD, The King’s Head); Fanny & Stella (Above the Stag); Cinderella, Aladdin and Peter Pan (MD, The Kenton Theatre)

Cabaret includes: An Evening with Maria Kesselman (UK tour); Gregg Edelman: Broadway State of MindBryan Batt: Batt on a Hot Tin Roof, Sophie Louise Dann: From Classic to Coward to Current and Ladies Go-Diva (The Crazy Coqs); Russell Grant & Martin Milnes: Songs We Always Wanted To Sing – But Were Never Allowed To (nominated for a 2014 London Cabaret Award), Al Pillay: A Life in Song, Marc Joseph: All Grown Up! and The Tunes and Tales of Two Ton Tessie O’Shea (The Pheasantry, Kings Road); James Church's Cabaret Night (producer/MD), where he has accompanied West-End stars Hannah Waddingham, Sally Ann Triplett, Liz Robertson, Rosemary Ashe and Aimi Macdonald; Fingask Follies (Assistant MD, UK tour); Music of the Night with Rebecca Caine (UK tour) and in 2009 he made his West-End debut in Dora; a tribute to Dora Bryan at Her Majesty's Theatre. James has also performed at The Comedy Store for Tim McArthur and Helen Lederer
